The Petting Zoo
The Petting Zoo is my side project. Unlike my solo work, ‘TPZ’ is more experimental in nature. I am compiling ambient work that i’ve done throughout the past 10 years and will manipulate them, distort them, destroy them and mold them into something new. I should have audio demo’s available on myspace by the end of August.
Status of Lycia
I’ve had quite a few people asking me about the status of the next Lycia cd.
Officially, as it stands, Lycia is indefinitely on hold.
This is mostly due to our employment obligations and limitations on the time that is required for us to put together music via the internet. We live about 3,000 miles away from eachother and require sharing audio files in order to build and produce the music.
Update for Aug. 1st 2007
Progress has been slow. Haven’t had a moment to work on the website.
I have a few new songs almost complete, they are similar to the sound of ‘the cataclysm’.
Compiled music that was left over from ‘the cataclsym’ recordings. I will be offering those songs on myspace soon.

note: after over 14 years of service i finally gave away my Ensoniq ASR-10 to my brother. The ASR was used significantly while recording ‘Bleak - vane’, Lycia ‘The Burning Circle’, ‘Cold’ and even used during a couple tours. The only thing that ever broke on it was the floppy drive. The ASR-10 was a beast and could take a daily pounding. (although I did manage to get it to overheat and lockup a couple times back in the early 90’s).

We’ve been slowly working on new material.
This time, what we are doing is each of us are brining in our own songs and then expanding from the initial idea’s. Right now, we’re not sure if this will be released as an EP or a full length cd. We have about 5 songs that are close to being finished.

progress of current works
Currently working on recording music for the next three solo releases.
The second solo cd is much more darker than the first. It will run nearly 75 minutes long and contain all new material recorded between Summer of 2006 - Summer of 2007.
The third solo release will be a double CD. The disks will contain music that will be continuous with the first two cd’s but with much more experimentation in style and content.
Finally, i’m also producing a collection of ambient works. My goal for this is a five disk collection that will either be released separately or together as a box set.

Remixing-Remastering Progress so far…
Last week I had a chance to transfer all of the tracks from analog to digital. I’m very happy that the quality of the recordings have not suffered any sonic deterioration. I’ll be lining up all of the tracks and preparing the songs to be edited and processed within the coming weeks.
